Curatorial Volunteering
Volunteer Opportunities in the Curatorial Department

Consider Volunteering

As a volunteer, you will discover Texas history in a unique way, meet new people and experience the delight of visitors as they connect with our shared past.

Curatorial volunteers help care for the collection. Inventory, light cleaning and data entry are ongoing tasks necessary for the caring of Museum artifacts. Curatorial volunteers are trained and scheduled by the Curator of Collections and work during weekday office hours.

What are the Benefits?

  • Behind-the-scenes access to the Southwest’s only living history museum
  • Extensive training and education opportunities with staff
  • A discount at The Museum Store
  • Access to the museum’s library
  • Social activities with other volunteers
  • Memories to last a lifetime

How do I start?

Contact Evelyn Montgomery, Curator of Collections at 214-413-3670 or via email.
