literally. Dallas Heritage Village is the perfect setting for your next
commercial project! With the City of Dallas as your background and
the theme of historic Texas as your paint brush, there are many creative
options for your next photography or print project.
The museum grounds and buildings are available in a limited capacity for
commercial photography, video and film production. A breakdown of the types of
rental photography that we allow is contained on this page. At the bottom of
this page, you will find our photography

 Dallas Heritage Village is a
favorite destination for commercial photographers and advertising agencies. Our
landscape architecture and historic buildings are the perfect backdrop for
product and catalog shoots. Because the museum is closed to the public on
Mondays, it’s a perfect day for the trade to come in and take advantage of our
beautiful setting.
Commercial Rates
Dallas Heritage Village has reasonable rates and minimums for commercial
photographers. We offer hourly rates, ½ day rates and full day rates with use
of the Park Cities Heritage House for green room space. The parking lot in
front of the Park Cities Heritage House is perfect for RVs and mobile crew
parking. To contract a photo shoot, contact the
Director of Sales.
Shoot by the hour: $100/hr (min: 3 hours)
1/2 day rate: $450 (5 hours)
Full day rate: $1,100 (10 hours) + The Park Cities Heritage
House (value: $600)
 Dallas Heritage Village has
been featured in numerous TV commercials, videos and films. In the past few
years, our grounds have been used to shoot several episodes of Walker Texas
Ranger and various documentaries. Video and film production require advanced
planning so that we can meet the needs of your production team while remaining
open to the public. For more information, please contact the

Shoot by the hour: $150/hr (min 2 hours)
1/2 day rate: $650 (5 hours)
Full day rate: $1,500 (10 hours)+ The Park Cities Heritage
House (value: $600)
 Dallas Heritage
Village allows for exterior photography only. Tourists and guests of the museum
are able to shoot candid photos during their visit. Professional photographers
with digital cameras, tripods and other commercial equipment are required to
book a shoot and sign applicable releases. Dallas Heritage Village only
contracts commercial shoots for one time use. The work that results from the
shoot cannot be a product that is resold for the benefit of the client.
Interior photography is usually not permitted, as flash can damage certain
artifacts and wallpapers. The only exception to this policy can be made through

Curatorial and/or Electrical: $25 per hour
 Bridal photography can be
contracted separately or as part of a wedding package at Dallas Heritage
Village. We discount our commercial photography rate for brides. The rates
below are for the use of the museum’s exteriors such as the Millermore Lawn,
the Bandstand, the Sullivan florals, etc. Typically, we set-up bridal portrait
or engagement photography during operating hours. If the museum is not booked
for a private event, bridal photography can also take place on Mondays, when
the museum is closed. Either the bride or the photographer can contact the
Director of Sales
to arrange a session.
Hourly rate: $150
1/2 Day rate: $275 (includes use of our Bridal Suite for hair and
make-up)
Additional Hours: $100
 Portrait photographers are
welcome at Dallas Heritage Village! Our blooming florals, trees and valleys
make the perfect setting for portrait photography. Family photos, children’s
photography and group photography can be contracted at commercial rates with
only a 2 hour minimum. When able, we can provide some prop and stage
assistance. The curatorial rate of $25 per hour is charged for this additional
service.

 For full day photo, film and
video shoots, Dallas Heritage Village offers use of the historic Park Cities
Heritage House as a green room space. This beautiful 10 room home has a full
kitchen, wireless internet capabilities and 3 bathrooms which are ideal for
dressing and make-up. The Park Cities Heritage House makes a great central
command center for an all day production. The oversized parking lot out front
(which is across the street from the museum), is perfect for RVs and crew
units. The daily rental of the house is sharply discounted and incorporated
into our all day rates. For photography agencies, we also allow some
flexibility with caterers for delivery service to the house.

Other days are subject to museum programs and availability of key
areas to be photographed.

All rates are for exterior shots only. Any interior shots must be cleared
through Curator, who must be present during entire shoot. Curatorial Fee is $25
per hour. Any electrical or construction needs will only be allowed through
museum services and charged at $20. per hour.
