Tuesday - Saturday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday: Noon to 4 p.m.
Monday: Closed to the public

Closed: August and January
Closed the following holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

Living History Seasons


During fall and spring Living History Seasons, special exhibits and characters dressed in period clothing bring to life important historical themes. Now through December 30, 2009 and March 1 to June 30, 2010, discover how truly "green" Dallas' earliest residents really were during Green Fields, Black Smoke: Nature and Progress When Dallas was Young.


Summer and Winter Seasons


During Summer and Winter Seasons, the museum's 38 historic structures are open for self-guided or private, docent-led tours. The Village's historic costumed characters will not found be on the grounds in February or July.


Tour Options


Self-Guided Tours
Visitors may take a self-paced tour of the museum. Pamphlets containing the architectural history of the Village's structures are available at the Ticket Office. Guided-tours of our two premier areas, Millermore and Sullivan, are offered daily at 1:30 p.m. and are included in museum admission.

Private Tours
Visitors may reserve a docent-led, 60 to 90 minute tour on the architecture, artifacts and lifestyles of early Dallas and North Central Texas. Private tours are $50 each for up to 10 people. Advance reservations are required. Call 214-413-3674 or email [email protected] for more information.
