During fall and spring Living History Seasons, special exhibits and characters dressed in period clothing
bring to life important historical themes. Now through December 30, 2009 and March 1 to June 30, 2010, discover
how truly "green" Dallas' earliest residents really were during Green Fields,
Black Smoke: Nature and Progress When Dallas was Young.
During Summer and Winter Seasons, the museum's 38 historic structures are open for self-guided or private,
docent-led tours. The Village's historic costumed characters will not found be on the grounds in February or July.
Self-Guided Tours
Visitors may take a self-paced tour of the museum. Pamphlets containing the architectural history of the Village's structures are
available at the Ticket Office. Guided-tours of our two premier areas, Millermore and Sullivan, are offered daily at 1:30 p.m.
and are included in museum admission.
Private Tours
Visitors may reserve a docent-led, 60 to 90 minute tour on the architecture, artifacts and lifestyles of early Dallas
and North Central Texas. Private tours are $50 each for up to 10 people. Advance reservations are required. Call 214-413-3674
