Eagle Scout Projects at Dallas Heritage Village

Project Details

Dallas Heritage Village is the perfect location for those pursuing Eagle Scout public service projects. We have a list of site improvements that need to be completed to further our mission of interpreting north Texas history in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Eagle Scouts and groups pursuing projects at Dallas Heritage Village need to research and procure the necessary donations of supplies and materials as a portion of their project. They should also plan to supply their own basic tools. Projects are coordinated through Mike Aday, Dallas Heritage Village Curatorial Assistant, who can be reached at 214-413-3670 or via email.

CURRENT EAGLE SCOUT PROJECTS NEEDED

  • Construct split rail compost enclosure at 1860s Farmstead
  • Construct 75’ x 15’ gravel drive for carriage house
  • Build three new golf cart storage sheds (three separate projects)
  • Build new zigzag split rail fence around visitor parking
  • Build new picket fence and gate around 1860s Farmstead chicken yard
