SPECIAL PRIVATE COLLECTION OF MECHANICAL MUSIC PLAYERS Ever wonder what Thomas Edison's voice sounded like? What about a live recording of Caruso singing to 25,000 people in an arena in Mexico City? Only at Candlelight will you have the rare opportunity to actually see and hear music and voices from the past. Rick Wilkins, curator of a special and private collection, will be exhibiting and demonstrating several of his favorite mechanical players from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Pilot Grove Church. See vintage gramophones, phonographs, music boxes and more from all over the world, dating from the late 1800s to the very early 1900s. LOCAL ENTERTAINERS ON 2 STAGES Don't miss some the best and brightest from the community. Local musicians, choirs, dancers, etc. will grace the stages of Candlelight on December 8 and 9.

CONCESSIONS AND FOOD AT CANDLELIGHT A holiday buffet feast will be served in the Chautauqua Pavilion on December 8 and 9 from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Prices: Adult $10.50; Seniors $9.50; Kids (8 and under) $6
The menu includes: hickory smoked beef brisket, beef and chicken tacos, cole slaw, red beans, fresh baked rolls with butter, fruit empanadas, pecan pie tarts, tea, lemonade.
Concessions items (coffee, hot chocolate, water, soda, etc.) will also be available during Candlelight.

Q: What are the advantages of buying my tickets on-line? A: There are two great advantages: You save $2 per ticket in advance and you don't have to wait in line!
Q: What if the weather is bad during Candlelight? A: Candlelight operates rain or shine. Please dress accordingly. If the weather is extremely inclement, you may use your tickets any time during the month of December.
Q: Where should I park? A: The Village provides onsite, paid self-parking for $5. Onsite valet service is available for $10 per vehicle. There is also limited free parking at the Farmers Market, across the bridge from Dallas Heritage Village on Harwood Street. CLICK HERE for directions to the Village and for special event parking information. PLEASE NOTE: Parking for Candlelight is NOT available at the First Presbyterian Church. There will be NO shuttle bus service from the church to the Village. Please use one of the above mentioned alternatives.
Q: Is the Village open during the day on the 8th and 9th? A: No. We do not operate our normal day time hours during Candlelight weekend. We will only be open from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Q: What can I eat at Candlelight? A: G Texas Custom Catering is our Candlelight food provider. A buffet of tasty food and drink are available. Buffet ticket may be purchased at the event. Warm Dr. Pepper, Bavarian Nutty Things and the ever popular pioneer popcorn are also available for purchase.
Q: How much does a carriage ride cost? A: The carriage rides are $4 per person, per ride.
Q: What does my ticket purchase help support? A: Not only has Candlelight served as a unique holiday festival for the last 38 years, its proceeds help Dallas Heritage Village provide educational programs for over 30,000 school children each year.
