Make Your Child�s Birthday a Historic Occasion!

Birthday parties are a fun way to get into the action at Old City Park. Just pick your favorite theme & we will provide the fun! Parties include admission to the museum, materials, & a facilitator to lead the activities.

Texas Ranger Party -

Our most popular party! You are the hero on your special day when you and your friends help foil a staged robbery of Old City Park�s Citizen�s Bank! Black powder weapons make this a realistic and exciting adventure.

Craft options (pick 2 of the 4): deputy badges, bandanas, paper bag stick ponies, or wanted posters.

Price: Members: $225, Non-members w/membership: $275, Non-members: $300

Pioneer Party -
Explore the 1860s Living Farmstead with the farmer or farmwife. Visit with the farm�s animals, play a few pioneer games, and meet the blacksmith. If weather permits, take a wagon ride with Nip and Tuck, Old City Park�s donkeys.

Craft options (pick 2 of the 4): woven basket, handkerchief doll, paper beads or thaumatropes.

Victorian Party -
Come dressed in your finest for this special party! Get a glimpse of upper class Victorian life when you tour the Sullivan House. Make your own Victorian accessories and play a few parlor games before enjoying your cake and ice cream.

Craft Options (pick 2 of the 3): straw bonnet, paper fan, or autograph album.

We offer a variety of goody bags through our museum store, designed to fit any budget. Choose from among the following:

The Museum Provides -
� A dedicated staff member to facilitate your party
� A dedicated space for your party (the party will determine the exact location)
� Crafts and activities to match your party�s theme
� Free admission (value of $7/adult, $4/child) and free parking
� Basic paper goods (if you would like other paper goods, please bring them)
� A unique atmosphere and place for a special birthday

You Provide -
� Invitations, we recommend including a map to our museum. Directions and a map are available here.
� Cake, beverage or any other snack
� A few adults that are willing to assist our facilitator with some aspects of the party

To book a birthday party -
Please call the Curator of Education at 214-413-3671. Birthday parties are only conducted during regular museum hours and must be booked at least three weeks in advance.

The Fine Print -
Our birthday parties are designed for children between the ages of 5 and 12. We will not do a birthday party for younger children.

The price includes supplies for up to 20 children. If additional children attend, you will be charged $10 per child. All adults are included, though we do request 1 adult for every 5 children. Due to space limitations, we cannot have a party for more than 30 children.

Remember, we are an outdoor museum! Birthday parties are held rain or shine. Please ask your guests to dress appropriately for the weather.

The party reservation is for 2 hours, allowing approximately 1.5 hours for organized activities and half an hour for cake, presents, and other fun. You can arrive up to 30 minutes early to set up the cake and see the party area. Your guests are more than welcome to tour the rest of the museum following the party. To secure your date, you must provide a $50 deposit. The party must be paid in full one week prior to the party.
