| Old City Park provides many opportunities
for kids and families to experience the history of North Texas. Using the museum's 35+
historic structures as a point of departure, you can take a mental trip back in time as
you witness craft and trade demonstrations, complete "make-n-take" activities and discover
similarities between early Dallas residents and yourselves

Each month (exceptions: January, November and December) Old City Park will host a family fun
day focused on a particular theme and historic location.
April 21st, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Plow, Plant and Shear Spring rituals of plowing the fields, planting crops and shearing the sheep make one of the Park�s most popular events. Kids can help wash the wool and see how it�s spun into yarn for weaving or knitting. May 19th, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Faces of Dallas People of many nationalities and cultures help settle North Texas. Tours of specific buildings in the Museum will tell the story of each group�s role in developing Dallas.
June 16th, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
July 21st, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Keeping Cool Making homemade ice cream and creating fans helped early settlers survive the Texas heat. August 18th, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Back to School It�s 1880�s style back-to-school rather than the 21st century. School books, hand crafts and a spelling bee are on tap plus an Educator�s Showcase to help teachers use Old City Park�s resources.
