Employment Opportunities Guest Services Representative (GSR) Old City Park is in search of dynamic, outgoing and responsible people to serve the nearly 80,000 guests of the Historic Village. The Guest Services Representative position consists of three areas: guest service assistance (orient school groups, greet and help museum guests) museum store work (stock and facilitate the general operating of the store) and event management (facilitate the needs of private rental events such as weddings and corporate parties). Requirements: The ideal candidate will be able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends and weekdays; be comfortable handling money; have a desire and demeanor for working with the public. GSR position is set on an hourly pay scale and will accumulate 20-35 hours per two-week pay period depending on the season and events scheduled. Wagon Master Old City Park: The Historical Village of Dallas, a 19th century historical village, seeks enthusiastic individual with experience team driving horse team pulling buggies and wagons. This position provides a costumed presence throughout a 13-acre site. Main duties include daily hitching and driving of horse-drawn vehicles for public transport and in house deliveries, all facets of animal care and feeding. Ability to work with school and tour groups and ability to work out doors in all weather conditions necessary. Experience in first person interpretation, character development, or accurate re-enactment desirable. Part-time position, 30 hours per week, Tuesday through Saturdays.
