Meet Mary Kate

Mary Kate is a Large Standard Jenny.  Jenny being the term for a female donkey.  Mary Kate's job is to protect the sheep and provide transportation at our 1860s Living Farmstead.

Donkeys, and in particular Jennies bond with animals penned with them and will protect them as if they were their own young.
