What if it rains?
As many of you know, Old City Park is an outdoor museum. If it rains,
the event will go on! Some activities will be moved indoors, but all visitors
should dress for the weather.
Your
tickets are valid all four nights of Candlelight. If you
are unable to use your tickets during the festival, they are
redeemable for admission to the museum during the month of
December.
How should we
dress?
Old City Park is an outdoor venue. Expect to
step into warm historic homes as you tour the museum,
but you will spend quite a bit of time outside.
What happened to the
Dinners by Candlelight?
Our Dinners by Candlelight were held
at the Brent Place restaurant in years past. We no longer have
the restaurant on-site. Our new partnership with Eddie Deen
Catering has enhanced our food service. You can enjoy the full
meal buffet with many of your holiday favorites such as sliced
turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes, chopped BBQ brisket and
more! Our seating in the pavilion has also been expanded to
serve you better.
Do you rent any of
your buildings for holiday parties?
Yes! We have the new Main
Street Saloon in the heart of the museum and the Park Cities
Heritage House available for your holiday party. Contact Kimm
Wright at 214-413-3669 for more information.
