Our New Sheep

Saturday October 12th 9:00am - Collections Manager Victoria and Collections Assistant Kitra began their 12 hour trek to purchase new sheep. We drove to Goldthwaite Texas to purchase 3 bred Rambouillet ewes from the Diamond P ranch owned by Ricky Prescott.   

 
Once we arrived, Mr.  Prescott, his son and the 2 of us had to round up the
90+ sheep we had to choose from.


This handsome fellow is the father of the lambs.


Victoria of course could not resist snuggling with one of the lambs.  We will have 3 or more lambs of our own soon.

 

After much hemming, hawing and
teeth inspecting (phew sheep
breath) we picked out three 2-year
old ewes.  All of whom will
lamb between November and January.
We loaded them up and got back on
the road.
