Our Lambs

2002 - We've had a busy lambing season at the 1860's Living Farmstead.  Lambs take roughly 5 months to gestate.  To protect against predators, lambs are born with their eyes open and are quickly on their feet and ready for action.

On November 18th, 2002 - Clara bore a bouncing baby ewe lamb, named Ethel.  Ethel is now a year old.  How she had grown!

On February 9th, Nell bore a bouncing baby
ewe lamb.  Her name is Rachel which
means 'ewe' in Hebrew.

On February 13th, Molly bore a bouncing baby ram lamb.  His name is Robert, 'baaa'b for short.  This is Molly's first lamb.
